Hunters Unlucky by Abigail Hilton - really great Xenofiction! If you like stories told by animals its wonderful. Really cool world & such good characters.

Also I always recommend Robin Hobb's Realm of the Elderlings if you haven't checked it out. Starting w/ the Farseer Trilogy.

I tried talking about this in a journal on FA and largely people acted like I was asking too much.
