That brings up a great point about how different states can have wildly different hiring policies but SSDI looks at national availability for hypothetical jobs to determine if work is available -in my case, 'gasket inspector' was something they deemed me qualified for.

Calif expects every disabled person who’s interested in working to be ready for work immediately. We’re not even allowed to talk about somebody not being ready for work. and forget about accommodations for mental illness.

Given how bad my health was the first half of the year, I'm grateful to not have anything new to report, but the extra expenses are lousy. Already needing to push going to a new specialist until next year because I can't afford another doctor.

Virtual appointments are extremely beneficial because they help me avoid travel costs (usually about $40-$60).
