Maybe, but my 13 year old son and his friends have loved it and it's obviously been a big talking point at school. I think that and the possible secret relationships have been great at hooking people in.

My mum is starting to develop dementia and the fucking problems that all this supposedly helpful technology is causing her is unbelievable. I'm sure there would be problems no matter what but life would be a lot easier with a big old telly with 5 channel buttons and an off switch.

Travel series, in particular, are better on youtube because they don't have to be planned and micromanaged, with squirmingly awful "chance encounters" with quirky locals set up to provide supposed interest.
Simon reeves is about the best on broadcast channels, but even he isn't immune from this.
