I can see junior Devs becoming good using LLMs if they are actually passionate about the craft but despite contrary to popular belief, most are in it for the high pay and don't want to learn and upskill constantly which is a requirement. You always need to be ready to learn. That's my ¢2 on this.
June 19, 2025 at 1:45 PM
...project faster but that's the thing, it's a side project. Drop any LLM into a big code base and it's going to shit it's pants and hallucinate like a crazy person.
All in all, give experienced devs LLMs, they will perform better but give a junior that, disaster waiting to happen.

...you are relying on a condensed google search machine to give you an answer, if you don't have the chops to even know what to ask it, how are you going to even build thing?
Productivity gains with LLMs are over exaggerated imo for anything non-trivial. Yes, it can help you "finish" your side...
June 19, 2025 at 1:45 PM
Uhhh, I was expecting this reply. Lol.
I am not denying the benefits of LLMs. It's just that if you give a fresher who has no experience in system design or high level architecture or even just basic things like how to structure your code, you will have knowledge gaps. At the end of the day...

Inevitably we will have workforce shrinkage because we won't have actually trained SWE who have been in a rut trying to understand and debug something from first principles when you can now just hand it over to LLMs. The demand for skilled SWEs will shoot up and their pay also. That's how I feel.

That's a meme stock. Don't bother wondering why the stock price isn't reflecting the ground realities. It's a meme stock tied to the antics of the "founder" Elon.
May 23, 2025 at 12:16 PM
...as that stock defies common sense. It is down today but it will be up tomorrow, seen it so many times. It's a meme stock, stay away from it.
February 25, 2025 at 8:46 PM
It has been a meme stock for quite a while now. Nobody who has bought that stock cares for actual fundamentals but the snake oil sales pitch of Elon of we will give you self driving cars and robots and what not for the past decade or so. Don't short Elon's company if you want to keep your money...

Also, I'm not too keen on making it monetized, I will probably just make it free mostly but if you want backup across devices, I might make that feature a paywall.
You know what, I will remove the 100 bookmark limit, enjoy.

Sadly, it only works on Android devices, the api which handles sharing is only supported on Android devices with chrome. I don't have a chrome os device but I'm guessing since it functions like a desktop, you won't see the share prompt to share to the app.
January 31, 2025 at 10:50 AM
If you click on the saved bookmark in the app, it will open it in the Bluesky app. You don't need to do anything.
Your phone OS will automatically open the bluesky app if it is installed on your device.

Also people being sympathetic with Gazans seeing their plight live when other social medias were censoring to comply with US state policy. That's how I read it. Even your secretary of state admitted it in an interview. Tiktok makes them lose their ability to control the narrative.

I feel like we are seeing these closed ai companies and their employees following the classic example of "if you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail" ergo, "we have so much compute, who cares about efficiency! let's put everything and the kitchen sink to it"

Turns out they aren't even a startup(maybe?)? Their holding company is a hedge fund. And this is their side project.
That's badass.

...do that for Apple devices because they are walled garden and apple wants their rent for no reason like a leech.
With a PWA, you own everything, people just visit your website, install the pwa and you get near native UX.
January 20, 2025 at 11:45 AM
If you have a PWA. You don't need anyone's permission to push updates and you can always deliver a consistent UX to all your users.

They actually make developers lives much harder. You can still get away from Google's clutches by letting users download an apk from your website but you can't...
