Movement is medicine for the body, mind, & spirit.

Walk, stretch, play w/ your children or fur babies. Anything that lifts your mood & gets that blood pumping.

Before I get back to more things yoga, breath work, and taking care of ourselves:

I grew up in a patriarchal, sexist, racist, abusive household & religion.

I will not go out quietly or easily.

During this time it’s important to take periodic breaks in your day to reset the nervous system. Some deep belly breathing, purposeful movement, and a mindfulness practice can help to ground you back into yourself & the moment, resetting your system. This can help you find peace in the chaos.

Wellness: Important right now to get adequate rest, water, & quality nutrition.

Yoga: Restorative

Movement: Stretching, weight training, walking. Movement is medicine.

Life: it’s scary right now, but you still control the quality of life you have. Create balance, find peace.

Tree Pose

This is my absolute favorite yoga pose. Good for strength, balance, and focus.

Just starting out? Place the foot on the inner calf/shin or even the ankle (but never the knee!).

Definitely a power pose when you need some courage.

Especially important right now is self-care. Yoga/movement, breath work, meditation, getting outside. Getting grounded & staying centered will be crucial to helping us build something better on the other side of this chaos.
