Still reading Old Masters for bookclub and can't wait to be done with it. If I had just picked it for myself this would have been a dnf.
If I want to listen to old white man rambling on forever I just have to exist in society. I really don't need a book for that.

I fell in love with the Murderbot Series earlier this year but still thought that it might have helped to go into this directly after book 5&6 😅

Garlic & the Vampire cane highly recommended. It is indeed super cute 🥰

I keep enjoying the memoirs by Nagara Kabi. Although I liked the earlier volumes a bit more than the last two.

We Are the Weather: throughout a big chunk of the book I was considering giving it 5 stars. Then I read part 4 and he must me a little bit. But overall it was good!

Lumberjanes is a nice enough series. I'm probably not the target audience and that's fine.

Iron Flame was at least 50% of the time annoying af. I was considering dnfing after a third but it was a buddy read so I kept going. It had some good bits here and there though.

I enjoyed Fourth Wing. It was entertaining and quite horny. Lots of death though.

Absolutely loved Bookshops and Bonedust! Even more than L&L. Imo it was the perfect blend of cost everyday life and plot running more or less in the background.

Uninhabitable Earth: climate anxiety in book form. Lots of worst case scenarios.

Nettle & Bone: unlikely heroine with her mostly crew - quite enjoyable

The Promise: flashlights into a family's story told around the funerals of its members.

Northanger Abbey: a reread for bookclub. I mean, it's Austen, it's fine. Not my favourite of hers.

Pod: uuugh, what a gut punch of a book. I quite liked it but mind the cw. In summary: Anthrops are the worst.
