This is off our our internal station module (also live on the website). So we started the day with a low just below freezing and now it has warmed to 70°F. CRAZY for mid-November in #Minnesota! #mnwx #weather #climate

Rain. Lots of rain. 1-3" or more in the next 36 hrs. So much that a FLOOD WATCH has been posted for a huge area of central/east central MN.... including the Twin Cities. Make sure those sump pumps are working properly! And if you find yourself on a flooded roadway - TURN AROUND, DONT DROWN! #mnwx

This is a screenshot of just one of the possible scenarios. This computer model (HRRR) has been going back and forth on whether we see a line of cells or discrete "supercells" with each new run of the model. But 5pm as the onset for Twin Cities has stayed consistent... 2/3

Temps will drop below zero here in Minnesota tonight. Normal for us this time of year. What’s not normal is a confirmed tornado and 1/4” hail in Northern California tonight! 👀🌪️ #wx

No major changes overnight other than perhaps a bit more confidence on 3-5" for us here in #LakevilleMN. In this screengrab we placed the cursor right over Lakeville to show that this model run (12z HRRR) paints 4" for us. Still no official advisories from NWS, but we expect them later today! #mnwx

Well, we waited to take a hard look at the 00z model runs and we think there is starting to be some consensus. 3-5" for the Thursday snow event seems reasonable for the Twin Cities area. This graphic is a conservative "blend" of what the models are telling us: #mnwx

Heavier rain bands are now rolling through, and we are measuring rainfall rates of 1/2" per hour. Here is a quick snapshot of the rain section of our station panel: #mnwx

As you can see, this area leads quite the storm system. Plenty of moisture headed our way into tomorrow morning, all moving from south to north.
