Sounds like Rep. Raskin should be suing this guy for defamation. What Comer is saying doesn’t at all fit with his position as a congressman so it should not be protected from liability.

His history in litigation of fighting, fighting, fighting and not backing down makes me believe he will never do anything that is “the right thing”.

There was a time in my life I had to do that, and also timed when I put my bills in the mail to avoid overdrafts. (Yes, I am that old that we mailed all payments.)

So. Can any one of these media folks do a survey of what the current premiums are for the “middle class” for a plan that covers even just preventive care, and confront these Repubs with these stats? And point out the rules for still covering pre-existing conditions?

There are other things they have done that will affect the economy long term. Layoffs of government workers; deportation of immigrants who worked the fields, killing harvests; loss of investment from foreign companies because of instability, etc. Tariffs hurt, but only part of the picture.

I don’t disagree. I just don’t think they have accounted for pushback on the agenda. They were under the surface before but now the pain is being felt there is growing opposition.

I agree with all you’re saying. But I think he doesn’t command the loyalty of people in Congress. However 🍊 guy managed it, I don’t see JD as having the same. Without a compliant Congress, JD has less power—no matter how much he wants it.
