Thing is, Starbucks is better than nearly all these (we don't have Dutch Brothers. Tim Hortons is good for everything -but- coffee). Though this admitted coffeesnob would take Counter Culture or Stumptown over all of them.

Or was that Paul? When you look at Jesus' words about Judgment, they're based on secular good deeds. If one's motivation for voting for a politician is because they approved of splitting families, "Alligator Alcatraz," shipped to places that can't be visited, would that really get ignored?

You're simply wrong: China has not only "caught up" they've more than doubled us. We don't have a world government that polices individuals: the Paris Agreement goes by nation and the obscene exemptions given China have done more to accelerate climate change than anything we've done.

The earth doesn't care about "per-capita emissions" - it cares about the total and China was allowed to *increase* for 10 years under the Paris Agreement.

Your somebody is correct - China told the WHO that Covid wasn't "easily transmitted between humans" until February 2020 when they couldn't hide it anymore. They've been increasing emissions for years - what do you base your trust on?

China IS worse - they were allowed an entire decade of increases under Paris - that they've ticked down (if we trust them - these are the same people who convinced the WHO to issue a statement that Covid wasn't contagious) is meaningless without that context.

They're still the worst climate actor on the planet by far - US emissions have been flat while China was allowed a decade of increases under the Paris Agreement. The earth doesn't care about per capita emissions.

You're the one being misleading - the earth doesn't care about per capita - total US emissions have been flat while China was permitted 10 years of increases under Paris and were credibly accused of fudging the metrics during this time.
