Idk what to do about the fact that mostly only shitty people want to run for office. not asking for perfection, but pro-genocide candidates, candidates with nazi tattoos.. these seem like reasonable red lines!

The things you overlook during the campaign will be the things that hit you over the head when they're in office, just like Fetterman now being the most pro-genocide zionist. Platner is clearly going to vote in favor of the military industristrial complex every time.

if anything this likely just makes him pro-veteran, and while I'm not against our country taking care of veterans along with everyone else, I don't support giving them special support that will further incentive people to join the genocidal US military

Jesus this is disingenuous. God forbid someone demand countermessaging from their political representatives rather than just begrudgingly accepting trans people's existence until it's time to throw them under the bus. The way to win is to stand for something, preferably what's right.

Nothing makes sense while this haunting, senseless cruelty is inflicted on the people of Palestine.

But the people and animals of Palestine go in pain, without shelter, hungry and thirsty, afraid, perhaps in grief of those who have gone before them. And to not even be able to give their loved ones dignity in death -

For something I was so afraid of and grief-stricken by, at the front of my mind through every step of her passing and after, I thought of the people and pets of Palestine. How losing someone precious to you is already so painful.
