2023 October - visit LA/Santa Monica/ Palisades - Palisades and Eaton fires January 2025.

2024 April - visit Dallas TX and San Diego CA. No doom occurred.

2024 July - visit Lassen/Mill Creek CA. Park Fire August 2024.

2019 October - visit Japan. March 2020 COVID.

2021 June - visit Mt Shasta/ Weed CA. Lava fire sparks the 2nd day of our trip.

2022 July - visit Santa Cruz. Pier collapsed December 2024. (We ate at the restaurant damaged in the collapse).

Piece ended up being Erlkönig by Franz Schubert. It was an orchestral arrangement and was only playing faintly in the background. I had to turn the audio way up to hear anything more than the melody. It was weird hearing it outside the normal voice and piano.

No Kings was my first protest. I went to the one at the state capitol in Sacramento. I was not expecting as many people as I saw there.
