@laidiggity.bsky.social made my words sound so much better than they were on the first pass. I'll be eternally grateful even if she does give me a hard time sometimes (🧡)
All signs point to the nerve healing, it's just not ready for more than what I've been doing. I feel a bit dumb for not thinking about it from the specialist's perspective before now, but 🤷🏻♀️ what can you do. Still a long road ahead but they're pretty hopeful for a full recovery.

One wants my body to learn that mobilisation isn't a stressor by stretching/moving it; the other wants it left alone because the assessment shows there's still radicular nerve pain overreacting to low-grade stimulus, and all mobs are doing is irritating it instead of letting it heal.

Next step: nerve recovery. The prognosis looks good, but the main reason I'm glad I went is because while my physio and the specialist agree that the pain is my nerve(s) in fight or flight mode overreacting to non-stressors, their approaches couldn't be more different.

I felt like an imposter going along since I've had an mri confirm what went wrong, but after an hour of going through the whole timeline and assessing me from head to toe, I came out of that appointment more confident about a full recovery than I have done this whole year. I'm so glad I went.
