We will go the extra mile to get more cargobikes into East Lothian! Free delivery all electric with ScotRail Club 50 providing £3.75 Off Peak single only valid Transpennine?!

If you cycle tour then you now have an alternative to ScotRail / Citylink / Flix for bike transport. Ember routes now go as far north as Wick & Thurso

Bikes are easy to prebook on Ember site. They don't insist on bike bag but not too muddy as bike may go in hold.

Bad news ... Local bus interchange only operating winter hours now. 😔 Post Brexit Highland economy = Bridge of Cally Hotel bar only open Fri & Sat.
Good news .... Ember e-bus to Dundee only 30 mins late due to snow - changed ticket to next bus for free. @sw20.info @transform.scot @edfoc.bsky.social

Route detail from today & a week ago showing 'taxi' approach of Ember. If no-one is booked to or joining in Perth the e-bus avoids city centre. E9 used the M90 link to join the A9 and arrived early in Pitlochry at 13.05 (1hr 35m from Haymarket) Left for Inverness 13.15. @futureeconscot.bsky.social

Low level visit by powered recliner this morning. We sold that bike way back when we were in Marchmont. Now resprayed & Bafang equipped with battery & Radical bags in exactly the right place. 👍 Actually quite high up. Not too low/invisible etc. UAs in stock. Reclined models to order! 🛋 💺 @edi.bike

Useful to know who is profiting from the natural assets that powers our e-bikes and much else. We've taken a screenshot of a frame as animation hard to see. Many feel the licenses were sold too cheaply.

Second Monday using Ember Inverness e-bus. Few more passengers - someone with a bike on in Perth at St Leonards stop between bus and rail stations. Roadworks = around 10 minutes late in Pitlochry. Summer slower on crowded A9? Good at quiet times! 😉 @transform.scot @spokes.org.uk @edfoc.bsky.social

At quiet times we like to pick 'panzer of the day'! To get maximum points you have to be on speakerphone & occupy the ASL at bridge. Previous winners have been big EVs but this one is nice - the handy panniers a nod towards cycling. @sw20.info @blackfordsaferoutes.co.uk @banzaiedinburgh.bsky.social

Compare and contrast rides for yet another Saturday. Families on limited time and budget looking for local trip alternatives. Front vs rear loading pros and cons. Younger customers liked both. 👍

Urban Arrow jam at shop today. 😆 Luckily at least repaired one (via Joe's Bike Garage) is going out today and the other is sold with Powunity GPS tracker fitted. @edfoc.bsky.social Open as always Sat 10 to 4. @edi.bike

Evening commute started on local bus and then into Bridge of Cally Hotel for a quick refreshment. A Highland howff with obligatory vintage skis on wall. With tracking and texts it's a nice warm waiting room for quite popular Ember E-bus. @edfoc.bsky.social @blackfordsaferoutes.co.uk @srd.bsky.social

Agree that with surplus power coming off renewables the railway should be the sensible choice to electrify and double.
We're swimming in 'low carbon' fuel today! More coming on-stream once today is included. @transform.scot @chdot.bsky.social @edinreporter.bsky.social

On one of the first Ember ebuses from Edinburgh Haymarket to Inverness stopping at Pitlochry.
Bizarre really as we're running beside the non electric railway.
Bus is in effect a mobile battery storage unit today as we're only passengers on board. Anyway running to time despite the deluge. @edi.bike

Friday started with coffee at Canopy @ Futures Institute. 20" wheeled Brompton spotted. Then a box run for assorted extras. Then postal run. Then a bench, rack and light fit on a new UA FamilyNext for @edfoc.bsky.social Pictured alongside a 2016 CX model at 29,000km. @edi.bike #JoesBikeGarage

Mainly electric commute with Bridge of Cally Hotel as bus interchange. Local 71 does first 7 miles.
Ember E11 to Dundee was late but tracked. A fewcal people on board. Then E1 to Edinburgh was late too so perfectly integrated. Warm & good wi-fi. 😆 Locally fuelled. @transform.scot @srd.bsky.social

Friday is 15 min city day for LB using tiny amount of human & electric energy. Favourite route today was from St Peter's Place to Hamilton Place along Water of Leith path. Grove St onto Morrison is only busy bit!
Couldn’t do it if we upsized to a van. 📦📦📦
New Evans sighted. @edi.bike @spokes.org.uk

Grey Horse in Balerno has Pilot IPA & Vienna on tap. Destination pub for walks and short cycles by WoL, though only offering charcuterie for food at moment.

Earlier in day there was time to do a quick scrap run to John McDonald's at Sauchiebank. New link to Russell Rd makes this a very easy job by cargobike. Future runs @thebikestation.bsky.social possible of course. Always more scrap! #joesbikegarage @spokes.org.uk
