New tree! It's a really nice specimen of Magnolia × loebneri 'Merrill'. I've been wanting a Loebner magnolia for a while. They have white flowers with lots of strappy petals for J.

Paeonia ostii, blooming for the first time in our garden this year. Species is native to China.

This hosta is special. The original plant was established at the first house we owned. We brought it with us when we moved (2-3' diameter rootball, ugh) and I planted it in several incorrect spots. It has survived our entire gardening journey. Pretty neat.
