i could yap forever about how creature needs are most often forgotten in the cozy gaming world! decorating pens with species appropriate tools and toys, how animals all have their own personalities; from silly to solitary - they aren't just production factories :(

be that better yields or maybe they follow you around when you're near their location! it'd be cute for em to have wants and need enrichment :D
with the coat patterns, well, games like neopets and things like shiny hunting pkmn are popular for a reason!

animal fur patterns! especially if they are achieved through tasks like breeding or maybe finding rare variations in the wild - i think overall a lot of pets/animal husbandry gets reduced down to 'cute animal stands there' :( it'd be nice to build a bond with your critters and see it in-world!
