I lost my dog last night, to a ruptured tumor on his spleen. It was one of the worst fucking nights of my life. Pets are like small tragedies. They bring us so much joy until their bodies give up. it makes me furious to think how such a pure soul can be taken in such a cruel way.

I've been out of the country for most of January and I have to say that the prospect of returning to the U.S. fills me with dread and anxiety. I'd rather be like this little koala in a tree until midterm elections.
