I'm aware of all those things. Like I said, the efficacy speaks for itself. My comment isn't about UBI, it's about societal tolerance of unjustifiable behavior.

You misunderstand my complaint. For far too many kids, abuse is something that happens even when their parents have no economic worries at all. What that stat is measuring is people who are abusing their kids, just less fatally or frequently with less stress. Intolerance of abuse would do more good.

I'm in no way critical of attempts at UBI, or this kids rx program, the efficacy speaks for itself.

But wouldn't it be better if we didn't need to pay people not to abuse their kids? If we all understood that taking our frustrations out on defenseless people is never okay?
