The method I have cultivated over the past 3 plus years is comfort him till he relaxes his jaw, do the pills as gast as possible, praise and comfort when done. Sometimes i reward with a game of ball, but predinner dose is always at his nap time when he is relaxed.

Then he has to have more medications before bed. This means I can't do treats with meds or pill pockets or anything like that. He has had to do this his whole life.

Awe ok, you missed info, let me catch you up. He has Megaesophagus esophagus and can't have treats or any food unless upright. He has to have pills 30 minutes before meals, multiple times a day in order for his food to go down, thw has to sit upright for 30 minutes after consuming anything.

I would love tips o make medications less stressful for him, thank you

It appeared to be that foreleg where he severed his tendon acting up again. Between using his ramp to avoid jumping down on it and using his red-light therapy, he is back feeling himself again. He bounced back so fast this time!
