I checked back. £50 got you a small loin roast, small shoulder joint, small leg joint, 2 leg steaks, 2 chops, rib portions, belly strips, and 16 saussies. So really not bad. But I suspect ours is somewhat subsidised due to regs on making a profit from student labour when they are still under 18. 🐷

That's the petite box for a couple IIRC. There's a bumper box they did over xmas but that sold out in under 3 minutes! lol

It's surprisingly not too pricey. I mean it's over supermarket prices but not like artisinal butcher prices. They do £50 meat boxes with 3 roasting joints, chops, belly slices, ribs, sausages and other random things which is really not bad if you have a family to feed and freezer space to fill.

Doesn't hurt that the physicist is on strike for the rest of the week but of a department of 72 only 5 others have joined him. Everyone thinks he's a berk.

I am excited about sausages. I hope they're good. (Really though, how bad can a farm-to-fork local sauge be? Even if it's crap, it's still gonna be better than a budget supermarket pink meat tube.)
