MSQ itself, but from a game that I've come to expect deep villains from, this was disappointing.

heavy topics. It's as if the writers couldn't decide if they wanted slap stick or serious and fumbled giving us either. I will say the phys. Melee did the best at finding this balance, for me. The quests did give interesting details into Tural's culture, something I wish we had done more of in the

she had great potential, but she fell just shy of being a decent villain.

Now maybe this was on purpose, something light after the heaviness of the Role Quest from the previous two expansions, and I am just being picky, but honestly it didn't feel like, because the quests still dealt with

But all of the villains, other than the Healer and phys
Melee DPS, all fell short of being truly good villains, be it lack of good motivation, their motivation being shallow at best, or the villains themselves not really posing a threat. Even the Head Honcho villain was lack luster,

To me that is a pillar of FF14 story telling, learning that to make things better, you must face your wrongs and realise you need to change.

Where the role quests fell short were the villains, which is frustrating because I feel ff14 has some of the best written villains out there.

interactions with them are good and well written, mostly, I felt that the physical ranged DPS fell short but that one always seems to be the worst of them. I liked the fact that not only were they overcoming the villain, but facing the reality that the way their village did things may be wrong.
