Why do some liquid hand soaps smell so awful? And they linger on my hands afterwards???

Why don't people use earphones/headphones when talking on the phone or watching videos on their devices in public/common areas anymore? Is it entitlement? Selfishness? And then they turn up the volume? Like, what the fuck?
