Yep. The Walgreens by my office started doing this and I stopped shopping there. I didn't have 10 minutes to wait for someone to unlock the deodorant. Unfortunately I started shopping Amazon instead for those items.

I kinda prefer Reddit's upvote/downvote structure. It's not intended to be an emotional response, just, heard, and either thought the post had value, or did not. I know people don't use it that way and it's more an "agree/disagree/I think you suck"button, but it's a more neutral starting point.

One of the things I disliked about Twitter and here is that simplicity can kill nuance. As a bad writer I struggle to be concise, so character limits are good for me. I totally get why we get one reaction, it makes things simpler. But it also creates this weirdness that we "love" everything.

I had assumed maybe NG because of the cut and had to expand the thread to see which terrible one it was today. All my feeds everywhere seem to be filled with stories of alleged rapists lately. Which is good in the sense that my community are folks who care about humans and bad because, well, yeah.

The sad thing was that I wasn't sure which predator you were talking about.
