I don't disagree with any of this. I believe the censorship of trans people in federal government isn't the same as burning down WPATH HQ. White queer people's fear of Nazis is queer people of color's current experience, and it's been like this a long time.

Hirchefield had his institute and everything he worked for burned not because of his findings, but because he was Jewish. While I agree with the similarities of censorship, these are massively different times. I worry more about trans people of color being at risk of harm as we speak.

This study merely shows, that people feel that their gender is reflective of the sex they were assigned at birth. The fact that more teens feel this way only shows that there are less trans youth than trans adults.

I’m sorry you haven’t had good experiences offline with trans people. I didn’t know a single trans person until I just started doing the events myself with local LGBT organizers.
