Farage has been sole owner since 2017 of a £1m family home, since a split from his second wife. He also has two beachside homes on the Kent coast worth £1.2m through his company. One is rented out, the other is being refurbished. He also owns an ‘investment property’ that he rents out, in Surrey.
Last year Farage announced he had bought a house in Clacton, Essex, but in fact it was his partner Laure Ferrari who bought the property - at a similar price to Rayner’s Hove home. Thus Farage avoided £44k stamp duty.
