Going through old art. Wish I was able to grab this one to finish before I graduated HS years ago. I was reallu proud of the eyes, but had such a hard time on the chains on the puppy and the nose for some odd reason. 😩

So one of the chickens was attacked by a hawk about two days ago. She is very much alive! A combination of having a hen saddle on, a plucky little silkie rooster, and me catching it in time saved her neck. Literally. We're cleaning and making sure she has easy to eat foods.

We got a care plan with the vet mostly ironed out. When it comes time for the duck to pass, the vet's hoping to get a necropsy priced for us as this is a very teachable moment for them, and we both agree it's a splendid idea. Pic of duck when mass first appeared.
