The head and footer of the journal contain two sketches: The top a head shot side profile of a reptilian looking creature. The bottom an abstract bundle of roses and vines. The entry reads: "He broke down today... it hurts to the point I almost did it... I almost went to him and risked everything.. I feel like I know him, yet know absolutely nothing. Everytime I come here I see more of who he really is slowly unraveling and I fear it's going to get me killed.. One of these days my empathy is gonna win out. I have to remind myself this is all one sided. He knows nothing of me and we were lucky to have survived our 1st encounter, but maybe that's just it.. he could have taken us out right then & there... there was fear, hesitation... he just wanted to get away... Who is he... I want to help him. Maybe there's something I can do.." - End
