"I am fully capable..." She said as she tied the laces, still behind the screen. She knew he was going to ask. After a few minutes, she came out. He had seen her without clothes on before, they had been intimate after all, but she still felt best to dress out of his view. ~

He was weak and she knew that troubled him. A man of his strength, brought low. It had to feel awful. "I have never seen you drunk, but you being poisoned was far from my thoughts. It must have been someone who knew you were back." She thought, but didn't have proof. "Guy?"

"You think you can pull me back beside you?" Part of her saw it as sweet but she was genuinely concerned about him doing to much, to fast. "I thought you were drunk at first, last night."

"You really are impossible." She said with a shake of her head, though there was a teasing in her tone. "Do you remember what happened last night? You were poisoned. DId you go anywhere else other than home?"

She from the feeling of his hand in her hair and the sound of his voice. LIfting her head, she looked at him. "How are you feeling?" He looked better than he did during the night.

Morning came a few hours later. Marian was still asleep against his chest. Her hair spilling over his shoulder and neck. She had fallen asleep to the sound of his heart beat. As she did the last night they were together, before he left for war. She was peaceful.

She half smiled at his words. She should have let him hold her when she first saw him at the ball. She didn't know what else to do to help him. She took his arms and helped him to hold her.
