It was my pleasure. The hurt/ comfort plus domestic things was a soothing escape while I was in the hospital. I'm intrigued by the plot bits too and I know the hook-up will be worth it when we get there.

Sometimes you have to be wordy to give the reader a glimpse of the character's depth. I do the same thing, lol! It's so good when the characters take on a life of their own!

That's what great character development is all about. And he has a beautiful, tragic, fucked up, and heart-warming progression throughout canon but it takes a lot of deep analysis to understand it and believably fill in the blanks that most don't bother. Rolling with fandom baseline is just easier.

100% agree. Unhinged Deadlock is fun but never feels real, he's a characture. The characterizations of Drift (any stage) that win for me, are the ones that understand the core unifying aspects of his character and let that inform his behavior. You do that really well I think!
