A Doom 2 wad I recently played was Doom 2 in Rural Only. A wad that emphasizes rural and small town settings in a focused and faithful way, overall map size is considerably smaller than Doom 2 in City Only. However, there are some maps that get quite difficult on the higher difficulty levels

Earlier, I had the Rabbit's Snare stout from Funky Fauna, based out of Bend, Oregon. It's a perfectly satisfying blend of coffee and pumpkin spices, with an adequately predictive smell and perhaps best, a low ABV. Stouts are cautious recommends for me but imo, it does what it says!

It's been a while since I've done one of these but here's the Threshold Infinite Realms Hazy IPA. It's smell is just the usual grainy sort but the taste is that of an incredibly opaque but slightly sweet brew with plenty of largely background hops to remind you what you're drinking

Speaking of artistic Doom wads, Mr. Hypnos, son of John W. "Dr. Sleep" Anderson just released his second map a week ago. Extremely purposeful, thought-provoking level design choices and profound melancholy are all characteristics that are admirable and evocative www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/...

Everybody's Brewing Escape Artist IPA 6.6 ABV. Caramel notes mix with some bitterness at the beginning that gives way to a well-balanced and a dank hop-heavy brew. The blend of Centennial, Citra, El Dorado, and Mosaic hops is carefully balanced with just a hint of sweetness to create a great ale!

It was so tempting to post that pic of Billy from the Adore video but decided to go with something a little less literal🤣

If you see this, post a vampire.

It's been a while but here's another beer. Fruity Belgian goodness, I think the coriander hint is pretty subtle but I don't mind, there's something good about an ale whose distinctiveness doesn't come from its strong quality of bitterness (much as I might love those!)

Bitter yet juicy. Heavy-ish yet easily drinkable. The occasional pops of flavor are very appreciable. This Little Critter Lava Fuel IPA will never supplant RPM as my favorite Boneyard Beer but it's made for a good cause. Get it while you can!

of success. I don't normally post here about every little horror film and cult movie I've seen but just wanted to shout out another sort of Tropic Thunder-esque quasi-meta effort that was entertaining all the way! (3/3)

Had this Shrimp-Fried Rice IPA from Irrelevant Brewing yesterday. Trust me, it's a lot better than it sounds. Thanks to Simcoe hops, it's got a nice, full, well-rounded flavor. Just a hint of tropical as well as citrus, probably closest to grapefruit but maybe something like Valencia orange too.
