Now is the time to end connections with unsafe people. That guy you hoped would come around some day, but has only gotten more conservative over time? The one you hate, but keep on your friends list to "keep an eye on". Those are people you're allowing in the same space as those who need the tightest information security: trans, disabled, immigrant, activist, etc. Anything the vulnerable person thinks they're safe saying on your posts, because they trust *you*... is visible to the worst person on your list, who might do harm with it. It is ultimately our own responsibility as vulnerable persons, to make sure we aren't participating in spaces where we expose ourselves. Which is a fun bubble to live in. But. If you care about the actual vulnerability, and allowing us to participate... you have two options: - Make yourself safe. Remove those who might do damage; hide your posts from anyone who has a whiff of the Party or even Centrism on them. Or. - Don't pretend to be safe. Any post that encourages a vulnerable person to open up and break their infosec on your post, is akin to game-baiting for the worst person on your list. So either refrain from any of those posts, or make clear that your vulnerable friends are not safe to speak.
