My thing is that (from the info we have) he was just against homophobia and transphobia and that's being reported as "leftist ideology." But labeling that as a radical opinion is YIKES. Even Republicans were pulling in favor of same sex marriage up to a year or two ago. We've slipped into hell.

It all just sucks. I totally get why people want the groyper narrative so desperately because the right-wing "leftist obsessed with trans ideology!" is so upsetting. It just seems like he is a dumbass upset with hate about someone he cares about who decided impulsively that killing would solve it.

It's been a bit of a wakeup call about the communities I follow and how information is discussed. Just such a rush to build a narrative with barely any info (I saw someone complaining that the Democrats aren't calling out that the shooter is right wing yesterday which has never been confirmed at all
