This guy’s art is like. The number one art style that Al imitates which makes his other pieces very disconcerting to look at. Also his entire online presence is falconry and being a football fan, with a side of intense illustration. Interesting choices all around.

I was literally JUST looking for what libraries around me have it— I’m going to fully go searching tonight. I tried checking it out on Libby, it had the right cover until I clicked to the second page and it switched BACK TO THE FIFTIES COVER 🔪

It’s a fucking disgrace that it’s THIS HARD TO FIND THE ILLUSTRATOR. I’m so sure David Cunningham is the ORIGINAL illustrator but the illustrations I’m looking at are the new ones and there’s no way this illustrator is drawing kids in jeans and t-shirts one book then blouses and slacks the next
