I never cease to marvel at the strength and agility of my 9 pound cat whenever nail trimming is attempted. She suddenly becomes as strong and slippery as an octopus, with the added benefit of needle sharp claws

Did some mending today, including machine darning this tear in my husband’s shirt using my bernette’s nifty automatic darning stitch pattern with the buttonhole foot.

Next up: the 1999 made for TV version starring Sir Patrick Stewart, Joel Grey, Richard E. Grant, and Dominic West. Easily one of my favorites, with lots of details from the book that are often omitted in film adaptations, and of course, Patrick Stewart.
