Today's BOOK HAUL!!! I went to my local indie book seller (Marigold’s Bookstore) for ONE book. I left with SIX. Went to Ollie’s for ONE book. I left with THREE (really just two if you don’t count the tarot deck). My book club is full of enablers, and I have 0% self control. 😆 #bookhaul #books

For a New Beginning by John O'Donohue, Irish poet
(Part 1/6) #poetry #irishpoetry #poem

In out-of-the-way places of the heart,
Where your thoughts never think to wander,
This beginning has been quietly forming,
Waiting until you were ready to emerge.

What I've been reading:
American Rapture by CJ Leede was so, so good. (perfect for fans of The Stand by Stephen King or Wanderers by Chuck Wendig with a sprinkle of World War Z by Max Brooks) All the trigger warnings though. Definitely one that will stick with you and make you think. #reading

In 1925, inventor Hugo Gernsback introduced the "Anti-Distraction Helmet." Made of wood, it was engineered to cancel out 95% of ambient noise, creating a highly isolated environment for the wearer. Someone needs to get me one so I can actually finish writing my book. #history

We were talking about art that moves us as part of my book club's discussion last night. Tom Uttech’s “Enassamishhinjijweian,” translates to “hope of good things to come,” is one of my all time favorites. The title is inspired by the language of the Anishinabe (Ojibwe) tribe.

When February sun shines cold,
There comes a day when in the air
The wings of winter
Slow unfold,
And show the golden summer there.

The Importance of Being Ernest is so stinkin delightful. Oscar Wilde is over here proving that a well written piece of work can stand the test of time and still be hilarious. AND it's in the public domain so struggling community theaters can use it for FREE! #oscarwilde #communitytheater #theater

Outfit of the day. Got these groovy metallic snakeskin print pants from the resale shop I work at yesterday. I’m also in my wearing vests and hats with almost every outfit era.
Not sure if I accidentally cosplayed as a character from That 70s Show, but we’re going with it. #outfitoftheday

Omg if you haven’t watched Pantheon, you should get on that. This is a fantastic high concept, smartly written sci-fi series that is 100% worth your time. It delves into philosophical questions about what it means to be human and the ethics behind new technologies. So so good. #pantheon
