We should not feel obligated to manufacture sorrow and empathy for people who never showed either of those things for us.

Purity politics will kill progressive movements. The refusal to embrace duality that so many leftists cling to doesn’t make you principled—it exposes a lack of depth. Yes, I said it. It’s shallow. It’s dumb. It’s performative and honestly it makes you look foolish.

Greg Abbott has added a ban on same day voter registration in Texas to the special session agenda.
We don’t have same day voter registration in Texas and we never have.
This is a complete waste of time and tax payer money. Those special sessions aren’t free, folks. They cost billions.

If you are unable to hold your country/government accountable for the ways it mistreats you and your fellow countrymen then you don’t love your country, you just benefit from it.

I heard propaganda on the radio for the first time a few days ago. Kristi Noem’s voice threatening immigrants with deportation and straight up xenophobic propaganda. Never listening to that station again.

Does anyone else think about how there’s a chance that one of their neighbors is an ICE agent? Let’s not pretend these people don’t live among us. How many of them go to work and roll up into their driveway as if they didn’t separate a family possibly forever.
