If everyone could agree on the death of the author and just not contribute to her wealth, it would be a while different game. But yes, navigating the space with those who agree with her, or don't think it matters, is exhausting 😔

I know the feeling. It's a dilemma that's difficult to put into words. I always think we have a choice of how to engage with the source material in fandom, because so much of fanfic and fandom is rebellious in its nature!
