I feel like this has to be the tone. As much as I want to play the world's smallest violin for people who are just SHOCKED that the leopards are eating THEIR face, I think we need to focus on inviting them to righteous anger.

I got a $125k bill from a doctor who doesn't take insurance who came in as a consult on a covered procedure in an in-network hospital headed by an in-network surgeon. The procedure itself was an emergency and I was in no state to ask if everyone there was in-network.
