Was discussing this last night! It’s crazy having to pretend not to know much, lest I be seen as a Googler/hypochondriac or thinking I know better than a doc. Like, I have to defer to someone who openly says they don’t know much about my condition when I’ve spent 18 months researching and living it.

Waited over a year for gastro referral. Missed out a major symptom and don’t know if I should call or wait for some future appointment… it wasn’t even with consultant on the letter - a junior writing notes to pass on to them. I hate that I don’t know what they’ve been told vs what I actually said 🤦🏻♀️

I’m sure that’s part of it. Also thinking the loss of Jota is weighing heavily. Like after the initial shock wears off, you’re left with a group of people mourning a friend while spending every day where they’d worked together (or new and surrounded by grief). Rough environment for anyone.
