I think American schools are designed to be deliberately dull, to discourage individual passion for knowledge of all sorts. You can get away with a lot when you destroy the connection between knowledge and the youth asap.

History is taught all wrong and many Americans' perception of it is warped at best. People don't realize history can literally teach you anything if you simply learn to reflect properly on what humanity has done up to this point
