An old friend is back. I really missed these growing in my yard. Now, you may find this strange but I prayed that they would come back, it’s been years. We haven’t had much rain so I know that this is my little or should I say huge miracle lol.

Good morning, could you help me solve a mystery? My son is not big on words. I sent him a message last night and he replied at 12:am my time saying, “I am in the woods.” Now the sky is bright there so I am thinking somewhere in Asia? He loves Thailand and China.

Food like this makes me want to be a vegetarian again. The last of my homegrown eggplant in a Tikka Masala sauce.

This came out so tender. I usually don’t make chicken breast because I always dry it out but not this time. Sautéed okra from the garden on top. I had to buy this chicken, it was such an amazing deal, I think the butcher made a boo boo.

So I think I have lost 5 pounds worrying this week 😳. Yes, that’s my daughter 150 ft above ground traveling to another mountain peak.

Thinking about my crazy but sweet and kind child. This was a few months ago, now she is doing this in Spain for her first anniversary. Mom is afraid of heights, guess that’s not genetic 😆.

Got inspired to make a concoction with my homegrown veggies. Then decided to dirty it up with the black bean soup I made. Food for the week since it will be just me.

Had to use up around 50+ Lunchbox tomatoes that weren’t perfect enough for donating so I decided to make a homemade spaghetti sauce with them. It smells good in here.

I just finished this book and let me tell you, it was eye opening and inspirational! If you buy this book, much of the money goes towards helping her mission called, “All Girls Allowed.”

Another haul tonight. I am picking some tomatoes while still green because they are getting weird outside. The yellow tomatoes are not mine. The plot next to mine abandoned his plot and these yellow tomatoes are knocking over my trellis and growing on my side. That’s okay right?

Tried making refrigerator pickles for the first time. I didn’t have pickling cukes so I just used things from my garden. I didn’t like okra this way because it oozed but my hot peppers taste great this way.

I picked a ton of okra and tomatoes yesterday that I had to give some away. This is what I have left over. I pick the okra when it is extra long and steam it a bit to bring it back to tenderness.
