So now working towards making that move. I never thought I’d say it, but housing costs are actually cheaper in CA than here in PA! At least the area where my nephew lives. Now, to get my food business going to the point where I can afford to build the house I want.

After 2 years, after dealing with his violent abuse for years, I finally left him. Moved back here to Allentown, PA only to see that this city isn’t what it used to be. It’s become too expensive to live here. My nephew is out in Fresno by himself with his daughter and said I can come out there.

Definitely. I’m originally from Allentown, PA. Moved to NC for a few yrs after getting married, my now ex decided after 2 years living down there, that he wanted to come back up to PA to move back to the Poconos, where he’s originally from. We lived there 2 years, then he wanted to move back to NC 🤦🏻‍♀️

Of course have a big yard so I can space to grow veggies, fruit (plants and trees), hey, gotta have a harvest to can and freeze 🤷🏻‍♀️😁!

Since the kitchen itself is big enough for a full kitchen table, I’d use that dining room for a storage room for a large upright freezer, maybe an extra fridge (not sure yet), & heavy duty shelving to hold anything I can myself. The room next to that at the front of the house would be my office.

It literally has a a nice sized kitchen with loads of counter space (a must for me!), a large island (another must!), when you go to the right of the kitchen, it has a nice sized walk in pantry/butler’s pantry, which leads into a room which is supposed to be the dining room.

I have to be able to put things on a cart and be able to wheel it where it needs to go. It’s a pain, but stairs are not easy for me to walk up and down. I’m in the process of trying to move to CA closer to my nephew to help him out w/ his daughter. I found a home builder w/ the perfect floor plan!

Hahaha!!! That’s great!! Guess because I need to upgrade to a single floor home as well. For me, mostly due to back issues (degenerative disc disease throughout my spine) and nerve damage and muscle issues in my right hand which makes it hard to carry anything.

You know what they say when you have too much food in the freezer and need to make room for more … throw a party 😂! I hear ya on the going up and down the stairs to get things. Upgrade your house/apt to a single floor with a spare room … problem solved 🤷🏻‍♀️😂!

I already have my wish list:
- A pressure cooker, water bath cooker, canning jars, and accessories needed to can.
- An upright freezer so I can keep different meats and meal prepped meals separated.
- A dehydrator to make dehydrated foods.
- A kitchenaid stand mixer (j really miss my old one).

Time to upgrade to a chest freezer or upright freezer 😂! Canning is another thing I want to start learning to do! I admit to being envious of people who have a room with an entire wall full of shelving filled with various canned meat, veggies, sauces, and condiments 😳.

I do this every time I make a huge stockpot of homemade turkey chili. I do mean a huge pot full … like 30 quarts of it at a time, lol. Needless to say, it lasts me quite a while!

You can always make a big pot of beans, keep out what you’re going to eat, wait for the rest to cool down, put the rest in freezer safe containers or freezer ziplock bags, and freeze them. This way you have them for whenever you get a craving for beans.

Oh good! True, there are a lot of similarities between programs. I’m still learning, lol. I’ll definitely check it out. Thank you for the heads up on it! 🙂

This sounds amazing! I would love to try to make this! 😋

I agree, photoshop is a bit pricey.

Is affinity relatively easy to use? I’ll have to check it out. I’m not the greatest with creating images and working with graphic design apps, so I definitely need something easy to use. That’s what I like about Canva. I’m still figuring it out, but so far it’s easy to use, thankfully. lol

I thought it’s against federal law to impersonate an officer? So much for that law it seems. 🤦🏻‍♀️
