I’m married so it’s a nonstarter…but I’d find dating apps creepier.

You’ve made a lot of assumptions most likely due to your own preconceived perceptions. You can’t hit a nerve with me so don’t flatter yourself. Stating facts isn’t bragging. It’s just facts. You attempted, poorly, to knock me down. I’m sorry you’re miserable but I’m not giving you company. Peace dude!

Yeah we know bezos makes a ton..and most of it is from AWS, not the website. CEOs all over the country are raking it in thanks to the weak laws in place that allow it. This isn’t anything new or shocking. What he makes has nothing to do with whether or not I like my job and the pay/benefits.

If they work for a contractor then the issue is with them, not amazon. I n my own experience at a warehouse, I’ve never been denied the ability to use the bathroom. I also see plenty of people take the “ pre break break” where they go before the break to not use break time for it without issue.

I can not speak for drivers, who certainly make more than I do, and their working conditions and I won’t try to. You’re moving the goalpost as I’ve shared my own working experience at an FC. I would have some questions though regarding if they worn for Amazon or a contractor. There is a difference.

It’s rather rude of you to suggest that I, someone you don’t know, doesn’t value themselves. And you still didn’t answer the question. We would all like it if salaries somehow adjust according to profits but just like making quite a bit out of HS, that doesn’t exist anymore.
December 24, 2024 at 2:23 AM
In a previous reply I agreed it is still not enough to raise a family alone. I asked someone what they thought a fair wage was so I’ll ask you the same. What do you think a fair starting wage is for someone straight out of HS with no job experience? Genuinely curious.

November 1st, 2018 was when $15 went into affect. We’ve had raises in base pay since then. In 2024 everyone in the US was given at least $1.50/hr raise. My FC got more. Feel free to google “Amazon $15/hr” and “Amazon 2024 raise” to verify.
December 24, 2024 at 2:01 AM
Network wide, in the US, we were all bumped to a minimum of $15 several years ago as a starting pay. That’s been several years. Even your screen capture says $17.53 average. Facilities pay different amounts depending on where they are and what tier. I make just under $24/hr. I’d take more though!
December 24, 2024 at 1:56 AM
That’s starting pay, but I agree with today’s cost of living it is often not enough. Where I live it’s higher than most comparable jobs where people come in with no experience but you can’t raise a family on it by yourself. Very few jobs allow that these days.

Nope. I’m a warehouse associate in a fulfillment center on the outbound dock. We are the ones who sort the packages, load them onto trailers and make sure the trailer leaves on time to meet our customer promise. And we LOVE when people order heavy items! (Read that last part with sarcasm lol)

No, I am not management. I am tier 3, hourly. I have the same benefits available to me as tier 1 associates. Nothing more but I do not get the same VTO or VET opportunities as a tier 1. I am older and know how to maximize my opportunities and benefits. I started as tier 1.

I do not work corporate. I work in an AR sort warehouse. Outbound dock. What do you consider “little pay”? Everyone starts at my FC at at least $18.50. While we would all like more that’s not a bad starting pay, especially with the benefits.

I hate toilet paper math!! And mega rolls used to not fit without an extender, but magically now they do? Sure Jan. Lol
December 23, 2024 at 5:11 PM
Yes I do. I am in an AR (Amazon robotics) sort building. We pick, pack and ship products. The building is MASSIVE! I am trained in almost everything from stow to the dock. I’ve seen many improvements since I started. Amazon is slowly listening. 😃 we even have meditation and lactation pods.

My benefits include health, dental, vision (2 pair of glasses per year), legal, STD, LTD, critical illness, injury (outside of work), 401k, stock purchase, life insurance for myself, husband and children, etc. I pay less for all that than I did for health alone 15 years ago.
December 23, 2024 at 4:59 PM
I actually like my job at Amazon. Could improvements be made? Absolutely! But improvements have been made since I’ve been there. My 1st FC had 0 fans. Current FC has fans everywhere, pumped in extra AC on the dock, still need fans on mobile carts. I do have some complaints that I’m working on.

I’ve donated over 5 gallons! Takes less than an hour from when you walk in the door. It’s a gift of life almost anyone can give!
December 23, 2024 at 4:32 PM
I took out a loan in my 401k to buy a house and cashed in some stocks to start a business that’s doing very well. Amazon paid for my data analyst class so I can keep an eye on where my business is performing. Plus my health issues are covered with the great/affordable insurance through Amazon.
