And in the end, it doesn’t just silence voices, it divides those who could and should stand together. Keeping us from opposing the real problem.

The systemic failures, the people who exploit the status quo, and the oppression born from it.

Not circling the wagons and pointing the guns inward.

Platforms that have and will scrape it for AI training, and profit from it.

It claims to protect the creative community, but pushes the most vulnerable. The ones who aren't big names, the ones without an in, the ones not popular, deeper into systems they can’t control.

When hate becomes its own purpose.

When cruelty becomes the point.

When we’re busy throwing stones at the ones in the pit, and glad it’s not us down there.

When the policy does the opposite of what it wants.

By forcing creators toward the very platforms that exploit their work.

This is not a moral stance.
It’s institutionalized gatekeeping.
It’s policing of thought.
It’s a purity test.

It’s the blacklists of old, updated for the modern age.

This is what happens when communities decide that punishing association matters more than protecting each other.

If an accusation is enough to deny someone a seat at the table, to damage credibility, or to silence a dissenting viewpoint? How do we investigate, how would furplanet prove it, most importantly of all, who gets to be the judge?

Everyone, lets stop pretending this is about AI

about someone’s writing and spread AI accusations without hard evidence?

The door is right there.

That phrase has a history, and none of it is ethical.

As for this policy?
It doesn’t just shut down debate.
It shuts down, and it harms real people.

And so is this.

The rule is vague by design.
Enforcement is discretionary.
Accusation is enough to exclude.
Defense is impossible because the charge is unprovable.
Absence of evidence becomes proof of guilt.

And as a trans woman? If you EVEN say anything resembling “We can always tell.”

You cannot measure it.
You cannot prove it.
You cannot disprove it.

A stance like this leaves the door open for implication, accusations, and credibility poisoning.

Including what was personally told to me

“All your future works will be put in doubt.”

That’s not moderation.
It’s intimidation

I just wrote personally a six page short, zero AI assist of any kind.

Now tell me, how do I prove that to you?

And that’s the thing.
Accusation is all it takes.
Doubt once introduced, can’t be undone.

Brainstorming is a quantity that cannot be verified.

If Furplanet had just said, we will not accept AI cover art, or AI assisted writing, I would have been annoyed, but at least that is a (mostly) enforceable policy.

The problem is the rest.

No brainstorming.
No discussion, ever.
