If these boys haven’t taken the civil service oath, they’re private mercenaries hijacking the government.

Allowing a "vendor" (Musk) to have access to your "accounts payable" systems (the Treasury) flies in the face of every audit principle having to do with segregation of duties, internal controls, and data security. This wouldn't fly at any publicly traded company and would never pass an audit.

Except that this might be the only way that Republicans learn! They spend time verbally abusing transgender kids and non-christians while ignoring how their own politicians are voting. They only care about things that affect them. If they won't listen, let them have what they voted for.😠

It may be time for Progressive parents to start thinking about home schooling. So far it's been a fundie domain, but it might keep kids safer and better educated -- given what they want to do to our public schools. Unvaxxed kids with vouchers learning Noah's flood from untrained teachers... 🤦‍♀️

Sure, for the moment... but we (the US) just voted to give all that away in favor of fascism and theocracy.

Would military folks be on board with something like this, or would they protect their own? My hope would be that they'd have his back, but I've met so many seriously right-wing vets... 😟

That's why we need to focus on teaching people HOW to think, not what to think. Everyone wants to be the smart person who can defend their beliefs with facts. If we do it right, they will come to the info we found on their own.

At least Darwin will be able to really do his thing next time. We'll be poor as hell huddled at home, but we'll be the only ones left alive after everyone gathers to thank god. 🤷‍♀️
