Here’s a little mood board for April. Just a gentle reminder that growth can feel like warming up, not blooming overnight.

Holding myself accountable by posting the results of my Artist's Dates. This was my first one. I had a Schiacciata and a Hugo Spritz in a little cafe over looking the Santa Croce square in Florence while the finishing Beach Read by Emily Henry and then started Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier.

Officially out of my reading slump thanks to Sarah Addison Allen! I devoured this in one day. It was the perfect comfort read with my perfect trio; hope, community and magic ✨

Trying to intentionally slow down my mornings this year so I’m doing iPad puzzles in bed with my coffee. Today’s puzzle looked exactly like my friend Shoshana’s cat ☺️

I wrote a bit about winter and its quiet wisdom. It might resonate if you're feeling the pull to slow down too. If you’re curious, check it out on my website. Link in bio

Saga, Vol 1 by Brian K. Vaughn and Fiona Staples

⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was my first graphic and I'm excited to read more! The characters were all so interesting and the art was fantastic. Definitely will be reading the rest in the series.

Time's Convert by Deborah Harkness

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Another reread in prep for reading Harkness's newest edition to the All Soul's Family, The Blackbird Oracle. Really wish should would do books on all the de Clermont family, especially Phillipe and Ysabeau! I love the time traveling through memories.

The World of All Soul's By Deborah Harkness

⭐⭐⭐

A reread for me as I was rereading the all soul's trilogy. A perfect nerdy companion book for fans. A treasure trove of background information, lore, and behind-the-scenes details about the world of Deborah Harkness's All Souls Trilogy.

One Day In December by Josie Silver

⭐⭐⭐

Definitely a slow burn. I liked it the lack of honesty between Laurie & Sarah felt unrealistic and frustrating. It was hard to believe to behonest. That said, the the story was engaging, and fans of love-triangle drama may find it more satisfying

The Name of The Wind by Patrick Rothfuss

⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book was a quick listen for how long it was because I couldn't stop listening to it. So glad my friend told me the author still hasn't published the 3rd book (in 10 years). I'm gunna pause this series so I don't get in to deep.

⭐⭐⭐

The main story was cute w/ a wholesome little ending. I liked the idea of the author including other characters connected by Justine's decisions but it got a little out of hand at some points and I found myself skimming. It all came together together but couldve been cut down.

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Aside from the fact that the story is so captivating and well told, Febos's ability to connect the shared human experience of rebelling, the desire to feel in control, and the depths of emotional confusion helped me notice where those things show up in my own life.
