Is religion bad for upholding moral values?

The affiliation of unaffiliated people to moral values (with regard to politicians) seems to be stronger than the affiliation of religious people.

As for tolerating corrupt politicians, there was a big change between 2011 and 2016 within the group of Americans affiliated with christian beliefs. Unfiliated Americans seem to have stronger affiliations with their moral values.
