Picked up a couple tiny rigid heddle looms Sunday morning. Gonna try weaving some coasters! New to me style of loom, and cotton has no forgiveness. But I can always use more coasters!!

Oh dear, I've been neglecting my spinning. So much of my research has indicated that the pieces I'm looking at for inspiration are all single ply yarn... That means I need to adjust my process completely. So it's time to clear my bobbins and plot the next project!! #MySCA #MakersGonnaMake

Abdominal surgery is restricting my movements a lot, so weaving is off the table for about 3 weeks. Good thing I have other hobbies I have been neglecting that require minimal movements!

First warp of 2025 Pride Favors off the loom!!
Currently soaking to relax the warp, then outside to dry before cutting and assembling.
Pleased that the 10.5 yard warp is yielding a 10 yard finished cloth - means I've done a solid job modifying my loom to minimize waste. #MySCA #PrideAndProgress

I've woven about 2 yards tonight. So close to dropping the last spacer paper. The amount on the front beam is getting ridiculous 😁 soon this warp will be cut free, then washed and cut for favor assembly 🌈🌈🌈 #PrideAndProgress #MySCA

DING!!!!!! vararfeldur is off the loom! Sent through an aggressive bath, then to air dry! Hopefully it will be sunny and windy tomorrow to be able to set it outside!

Last project with the dye vat containing no iron. I didn't add any new dye, but the yarn was mordanted with fresh alum. It is VERY pink, not at all purple. But it will serve as a beautiful weft when I finally get this Vararfeldur off my loom!! #MySCA #WarpedWeaver
