Why avoid rsqrt? Is sqrt just as fast?

I'm having trouble understanding. Are s and c the decoded sin & cos values? If not, how to finally decode? Where did the red equation in your second image come from? What is the LSb encoding?

Yes! I removed my phone number from Steam, and it subsequently also removed the mobile authenticator, without warning...

it's always these mappers with their 4090s 😤

Hmm okay, maybe making your own editor addons suffices? Modifying Godot might be an option, unless it's hairy C++ under the covers.

For 2D games, I heard good things about Raylib & Löve.
I don't think open source matters, unless your project has super long-term needs.
What kinda game you're planning?

idk, probably less risk on trusted sites, but vulnerabilities are discovered all the time

I haven't used Librewolf yet, I have yet to see myself if there are any good Firefox forks/configs to switch to myself.
March 2, 2025 at 1:16 AM
One thing to keep in mind is that browsers must receive security updates ASAP. Librewolf is a Firefox fork and receives updates with delay.
Librewolf FAQ: "Updates usually come within three days from each upstream stable release, at times even the same day."
Make sure Librewolf auto-updating occurs!

Decentralized home data centers! Sadly, privacy and data protection issues would arise...
Apple's Private Cloud Compute for anonymous AI processing looked interesting for this

[5/5] In CS2, I improved FPS on @lillykyu.gay's destructible minecraft map ( youtu.be/aWV5HXcA3Vc ). It has ~8300 breakable blocks! A tool was made that makes the game not render the innermost blocks until they're made visible. github.com/lacyyy/CS2Mi...

[4/5] My probably biggest project to date was "DZSimulator", a program for practicing bump mine jumping and rampsliding.
It could load CS:GO maps and accurately reproduced CS:GO's player movement and bump mine mechanics. github.com/lacyyy/DZSim...

[3/5] Two CS:GO workshop maps where bump mines are given to players: A surfing/rampsliding arena map and a greatly enlarged de_mirage! steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/...

[2/5] With others, I discovered a bunch of fun bugs back in CS:GO's Danger Zone mode: You could attach bump mines to players and hostages for (possibly multiple) mid-air boosts later on, and a bug with crates that sent players flying across the map 😁

Sometimes I think the same, but I'm hoping that Counter-Strike just happens to attract these assholes.
Or maybe they happen to feel safe saying that in Counter-Strike, due to lack of moderation (thanks Valve)
