Assuming you started solids after 6 months as recommended, you shouldn't be having issues with engorgement, plugged ducts, or infections. Seek more information or help from a breastfeeding expert.

It's a health necessity to breastfeed. The only absolute contraindication to breastfeeding is the rare infant genetic disorder classic galactosemia. Nobody shames mothers for not breastfeeding. Women feel ashamed and guilty all on their own.
