We cannot let their hate win.

These MAGAs are not a new breed of people. They are the same people who would have been the Redeemers. The same people doing raids in Black neighborhoods to scare them. The same people teaching hate in their schools.

I can't help but see the parallels between the Reedemers and their anti radical reconstruction and the MAGA crew and their anti-woke agenda. The push against DEI, gender equality, trans people, immigrants seem all too similar.

However, while doing the most wicked things to disenfranchise and harm Black people, the politicians and schools would emphasize that the "Redeemers" (Aka. White supremacists) were "saving" the state from "Radical Reconstruction."

Dozens of Black people and White supporters were threatened, ambushed, and killed. In my county alone, at least 43 lynchings took place in the 18th and 19th centuries. On top of the cruelty, Florida authorized a poll tax requiring voters to pay two years of their tax prior to elections.
